The Senior Advisor will leverage a strong working knowledge of the federal legislative, regulatory, and political climate; have demonstrated research, policy analysis, and organization skills; and the ability to develop strategy and execute tactics to achieve results for Corning priorities. This position is based in Washington, DC and reports to the Vice President, Global Government Affairs.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Policy Analysis and Development
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape
  • Track and analyze legislative and regulatory policy developments, providing intelligence and insights.
  • Advocacy Strategy Formation and Execution
  • Develop, communicate, and implement strategy for advancement of Corning’s legislative and regulatory initiatives; and
  • Manage government affairs consultants and contractors.
  • Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with federal elected officials and their staffs and government officials and staffs in regulatory and other agencies;
  • Represent Corning in trade associations, and with other key stakeholders; and
  • Develop coalitions to support Corning’s policy agenda as appropriate.

    • Represent Corning at external events, meetings, and conferences; and

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Masters or JD preferred

Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years progressive experience working in federal government affairs
  • 政策和广告vocacy experience on renewable energy, manufacturing and sustainability issues; experience working on solar energy programs and policies a plus.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Washington, DC office
  • Travel up to 15%
