Purpose of the Position:

• Responsible for thermal process engineering as primary focus and technical project management as secondary focus. Thermal process engineering will be including material conversion, heat treatment, thermal/flow process engineering design, etc. Technical project management will be including product/process development, quality/throughput improvement, cost down, technology transfer, process industrialization for manufacturing operation, etc.
• Grow technical competencies and expertise in thermal process engineering supporting for manufacturing or mass productions with fundamental understandings and/or develop new core technologies to support Corning success.
• Possesses good communication, harmony, positive attitude and project management skills on dynamic fast-pace projects with timely support and can manage oneself with minimum supervision.
• Live in Corning values, integrate cultures, nurture strategic thinking and ability to influence

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Mainly work on assigned projects; extensive travel to Corning Incorporated and vendors locations in Asia and other regions on project assignments (50-+% travels).
• Be active participator of the Engineering Excellence program which aims for advance process/product fundamental understanding in solving difficult technology and manufacturing problems.
• Be contributor of IA generation through RTR, ID and Patent filing on projects.
