Nuestro segmento de comunicaciones ópticas acaba de evolucionar de ser un fabricante de fibra óptica y cable, hardware y equipos para convertirse en un proveedor integral de soluciones ópticas líder en la industria, abarcando la industria de comunicaciones más amplia.   1. Purpose of Position.

The Negotiations Center of Excellence enhances the overall commercial effectiveness of Global Supply Management, Manufacturing, and Commercial operations through preparation, documentation and knowledge transfer of negotiation strategies, tactics, and tools.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex contractual negotiations around the World. S/He will create, review, edit, coordinate and/or negotiate a wide range and number of contracts.

Agreements tend to be heavily negotiated, which will give the successful candidate an insight into a variety of regulatory, legal, credit and risk management issues. The candidate must be able to effectively manage a challenging and changing portfolio of internal clients, remote management of staff.

  1. Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.
  • Co-Development of long-termnegotiation strategies, considering existing and potential future requirements and working seamlessly across stakeholder teams to lead strategic corporate initiatives
  • Lead, assist or consulton high stake negotiations
  • Provide advice and guidance for contract interpretation on the provisions of specific agreements as well as legal and risk issues that might impact Corning
  • Education and coachingof Corning stakeholders on negotiation best practices using athorough understanding of core sourcing processeswhich includes market research, development of contracting strategy and requirements, administration of bid processes, negotiation strategies and contract reviews
  • Formulates a clear visionand articulates steps to achieve the negotiation objectives for the assigned category. Interface with stakeholders in a manner that fully vets Corning´s needs and opportunities

  • Documents business, service, and operational requirements necessary for request for proposal document preparation or direct supplier negotiations
  • Identify and analyze market trends, competitor activities and customer preferences to develop future negotiation tools and strategies. Develop and maintain acomprehensive understanding of AI applicationsandadvancements in negotiation techniquesto stay at the forefront of the industry
  • Quickly comprehend the desired end-result, goals or objectives as communicated by executive management and determine the necessary operational tasks and procedural steps necessary to accomplish objectives
  • Utilize AI tools and technologies to support data-driven decision-making, predictive analysis and optimization of negotiation outcomes
  • Timely achievement of all assigned sourcing initiatives ensuring activities adhere to all established policies and procedures and standards of business conduct
  • Participate on departmental and cross-functional teams focused on continuous process improvement and other projects.

5. Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

  1. Education.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Law, Engineering
  • Fluent in English

  1. Work Experience

  • Min. 5-7 years ofsignificant experience negotiating complex business transactions, preferably in a procurement/supply chain environment
  • Profound understanding of world class tools and capabilities
  • Experience with orpassionate about digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence
  • The ability to adapt negotiations to disruptive environment. Shaping disruption.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations in a highly competitive business-to-business market
  • Experience in a Negotiation Centre of Excellence, Procurement excellence, or similar
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, documentation skills, strong interpersonal skills required for daily interface with a diverse internal and external customer set.
