Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position:

这个职位提供行政和战术support for Project Managers. The role oversees the planning and implementation of projects and manages progress throughout the life of the project. This role is also a user of customer portals and systems and works in Corning’s project tracking software and with our customers to ensure requirements are met.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects

• Driving accuracy of the backlog in conjunction with customer and the project managers

• Assist with the scheduling of projects and task to meet project goals

• Monitor project approvals/invoice request in customer systems, update project management systems, and communicate changes to appropriate departments

• Manage and analyze the invoice communications sent from vendors, based on services rendered, with the goal of ensuring all service units are submitted in a timely manner

Experiences/Education Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree, BS in Finance or Supply Chain Mgt preferred

• Strong MS office capabilities - extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project

Soft Skills:

• Familiarity with ERP systems and project management systems

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

• Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required

• Strong organizational skills

• Works well in team environment

• Result-oriented and responsive; utilizes networks, SMEs, and other available resources to drive tasks to closure.

• Experience participating in cross-functional teams

Desired Skills:

• Project management experience

• Knowledge of Sitetracker, Procore, or other project management software

• Familiarity with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Codes and NEWCO Units

• Superior administrative skills

• Familiarity with SAP
