The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:

As an IT Automation Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing automation solutions within the IT organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, define project scopes, and ensure successful delivery of automation initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and technical expertise to drive process improvements and optimize business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and understand automation needs and opportunities across various departments.
  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for automation and process improvement.
  • Define and document automation project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, including business requirements, process flows, and use cases.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for automation initiatives.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the potential impact and ROI of automation projects.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and track the performance and effectiveness of implemented automation solutions, making recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing automation tools and systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to automation and business process improvement.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, Automation Analyst, or similar Analyst role in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and workflows.
  • 熟悉with automation tools and technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow automation, or scripting languages.
  • Experience in conducting requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Understanding of IT enterprise systems ,databases, and integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in documenting business requirements, process flows, and use cases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using productivity tools (M365 application suite including One Drive), project management software (Microsoft Project), and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, One Drive, Teams & Slack)
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

Desired Skills:

  • Certification in Business Analysis or related field.

The range for this position is $87,130 - $119,803. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
