Purpose of the Position:Ensures the administration of HR programs / processes / policies, establish and reinforce Corning Values and positive work environment, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the plant manager and staff
  • Provide event coordination for facility
  • Provides data reporting and analysis various functions, i.e. financial head counting, recognition reporting, time to fill openings, plant service, annual staffing, etc.
  • HR/Payroll administrator for non-exempt and hourly population
  • SME on Kronos system, clears payroll for facility, audits time, instructs supervisors on use and questions, Monitors holiday and shift patterns for accuracy, etc.
  • Develops plant communication and training calendars, publishes to organization
  • Implements HR programs / processes / policies in compliance with current legal and regulatory policies and assesses them to determine the extent to which they support Corning Values and positive work environment
  • Recommends areas for standardization of HR programs / processes / policies, as appropriate, to reduce complexity of administration and associated costs
  • Builds HR reputation through value-added interactions with customers
  • Responsible for analysis and reporting of data contained in the HR systems
  • Assigns appropriate confidentiality status to materials and may take action to ensure compliance
  • Independently solves most problems on basis of examining pertinent facts
  • In addition to maintaining internal customer relations, may interact with external contacts

Education Requirements:

  • Associates in Business, General Administration or equivalent 3-5 years in a high level administrative, coordinator, HR administration, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Successful track record in administrative coordinator for a team of individuals or managers
  • Successful track record in managing administrative requirements for a plant
  • Confidentiality
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization from executive to employee

The range for this position is $45,236.00 - $62,200.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
