Responsibilities

This mission in the Corning B.V. (CBV) HSE Department of Corning Life Sciences is an amazing opportunity, answering major goals of the company and supporting key challenges for the CBV Health &Safety Management System and Environment & Sustainability Management System for 2023. In this role, you will report directly to the CBV HSE Manager and work in coordination with the CBV Supply Chain team (based in Amsterdam). The position is located in Amsterdam’s CBV Office. The mission, for a duration of 4 to 6 months, will focus on following tasks:

• Support to HSE Manager developing and implementing Health & Safety programs (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety Management System, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Management and Hazard Communication, Ergonomics, Incident Investigation and Analysis etc.)

• Support to HSE Manager developing and implementing Environment Programs (ISO 14001) and Sustainability Projects.

• Support to HSE Manager facilitating and delivering HSE Trainings

• Support to HSE Manager preparing and performing HSE Audits Requirements

• Passionate on learning knowledge on Health & Safety Management System and Environment & Sustainability Management System. Have interests in HSE field as future profession career.

• Planning/ Organizing/ Structuring - Prioritizes tasks and manages time to ensure that deadlines are met. Works goal-oriented, plans his or her time and sticks to those plans

• Teamwork & Cooperation - Is an effective team player who contributes valuable ideas, opinions, and feedback. Communicates in an open and candid manner and can be counted upon to fulfil any commitments made to others on the team. Appreciates and integrates contributions of others.

• Communication - Communicates effectively and appropriately. Uses good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best communication method.

• Fluent in English

• Proficient knowledge of MS Office

• Bachelor or master student required. Preferably in one of the following fields: specialization in Occupational Safety or Health, Safety Engineering, Safety Science, or Environmental Health.

• Familiarity or experience with ISO management systems (i.e., Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology) is preferred
