Summary:

设备服务工程师职位会l serve as a process and equipment engineering resource and subject matter expert for customers utilizing Corning Architectural Technical Glass (ATG) in an IG manufacturing environment. Main responsibility is to ensure that complex manufacturing equipment and processes meet customer requirements in terms of performance, availability and reliability, while providing world-class customer service. Monitor process attributes and equipment performance on an ongoing basis. Escalate equipment performance issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide on-site and remote technical support for existing Corning customers utilizing Corning Glass in an IG manufacturing environment. Provide on-boarding, hands-on training, and equipment installation support for new Corning customers. Ensure all equipment and process documentation is up to date. Respond to customer service requests in a timely manner. Represent Corning as the primary engineering point of contact for Corning ATG customers

Essential Skills & Duties:

• Provide high quality equipment and process support for fast-paced 24/7 IG manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with various electrical and machine control systems is a plus
• Use process capability metrics and equipment performance data to recommend production changes
• Equipment and process troubleshooting, problem solving skills.
• Work closely with other manufacturing engineers and technicians to resolve equipment issues.
• Provide incremental training and coaching on new equipment or process changes as needed.
• Complete site inspection and SAT activities for new equipment launches
• Provide constructive coaching and guidance throughout all levels of the support organization to develop appropriate troubleshooting skills and techniques in others.
• Ability to work across various functional groups on a regular basis to accomplish goals: Operations, IT, Facilities, Project Engineering, QE, Supply Chain, etc.
• Provide internal service reports on overall project and equipment status
• Create technical documents (SOP, Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, etc.) as required
• Working sensitivity to different cultures and backgrounds

Job Knowledge & Education Level:

• BS in Engineering field and 2+ years working in manufacturing/production environment or AS in Engineering field and 5+ years working in a technical support role in a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience with various electro-mechanical devices such as servo motors, pumps, valves, sensing devices
• Experience with production data and performance analysis
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings using AutoCAD.

Hours of work schedule: Occasional off-hours meetings or travel may be required
