Job Description Overview

业务部门领导负责providing technical input, solutions, and options for improving productivity and efficiencies in the assigned areas of the plant located in Canton, NY. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a motivated and skilled workforce. The Operations Lead will be required to assess skills, write performance reviews and recommends and/or provide training to ensure department personnel are technically competent to perform assign tasks in the facility. The Corning Canton facility is a continuous operations facility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

• Receives work assignments with general instructions.

• Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.

•与下属主管互动, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels - interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.

• Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, and checking work at frequent intervals.

• A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit

• Encompasses the direction and inspection of the performance of individuals or a team of associates who put together components to make assemblies, subassemblies, or completed units, or make or process raw materials into finished products in an industrial environment.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, Bachelor's in Engineering preferred

• 2 years in prior supervisory or prior military leadership experience required

• Project management understanding and skills preferred

• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

• Interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

• Read, analyze and interpret general business documents.

• Ability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to groups.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills

• Union experience a plus
